Biographical/Historical Note
Mort Kessler began dancing with Gus Giordano after a chance encounter with Giordano's wife, Peg, in the Giordanos' downtown hair salon. Kessler was one of five founding members of Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC), originally named Dance Incorporated Chicago. Over 40 years later, he is still a part of the company, serving as a member of the GDC Advisory Board. (2024)
