Biographical/Historical Note
Carol Bobrow was a professional dancer and choreographer for 4 decades. She practiced and performed extensively in Chicago in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. In addition to making her own dances, she performed with Shirley Mordine, Jan Erkert, and Charlie Vernon, among others. In 1978, Bobrow co-founded Links Hall with Vernon and Bob Eisen; Links became a National Performance Network partner in 1998 and received a MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions in 2016. Continuing as an active educator, Bobrow taught dance at New Trier High School until 2012. She currently lives in Evanston, Illinois. (2025)
