Biographical/Historical Note Larry Ippel began his dance training as a college athlete at Illinois State University. In the early 1970s, he joined the Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park, IL, as an instructor. in 1983, together with dancers Stephanie Clemens and James Tenuta, Ippel co-founded Momenta, an inclusive movement and theater company based within the Academy of Movement and Music. Ippel retired from teaching and performing in 2014. (2024)
