Summary Ms. containing various letters by and about St. Jerome, probably selected by or for a woman in Florence, and transcribed in Italy during the late 15th or early 16th century. Ms. version differs from the translation printed in Italian by Bartolomaeus Cremonensis, in Venice in 1473, with the title "La vita el transito e gli miracoli del beatissimo Hieronymo"; ms. lacks list of miracles and testimonials present in printed version, and chapter divisions differ in the first letter of St. Eusebius.  Included here are the epistle of St. Eusebius of Cremona to St. Damasus in Rome, and to the Roman senator Theodore, on the death of St. Jerome in Bethlehem (leaves [1]-[32]); epistle of St. Augustine to St. Cyril, bishop of Jerusalem, on the greatness of Jerome (leaves [33]-[39]); St. Cyril's reply to St. Augustine, detailing miracles performed by St. Jerome (leaves [40]-[70]); epistle of St. Jerome to St. Paula on Christian virtues (leaves [71]-[85]); and epistle of St. Jerome to St. Paula's daughter, St. Eustachia, in praise of virginity (leaves [86]-[114]).
