Summary Record book containing sixteen documents, describing events of 1442-1614 pertaining to the "jus patronatus" of the general chapter of the Franciscans in Vicenza, Italy. The "jus patronatus" is a privilege which allows a chapter to present to the bishop a titular for a vacant benefice, or to present to the pope the titular of a bishopric or an important ecclesiastical office.  Documents in this register concern the presentation of titulars to fill benefices for the Cappella di San Pietro and the Cappella dell'Ascensione of the church of San Lorenzo in Vicenza, as well as for St. Mary's and St. Christopher's Hospitals, and their confirmation and certification by the episcopal see.  Also included are indulgences or exemptions granted to the hospitals by the see by virtue of the contributions of the de Portis family, and indulgences granted by Pope Sixtus IV.  There are several letters from the duke of Venice: one concerns the petition of Francesco and Ludovico de Portis, while another, dated Feb. 1, 1467, terminates the exemption privileges of the two hospitals. The final document, in Italian, documents an agreement between the de Portis and the Franciscans of San Lorenzo concerning the benefice and family privileges in the church's Cappella dell'Ascensione.
