Dear Jack,

The parties with you and your friends were among the best I've ever attended. The autographing

party, in particular, seemed like a model for that type of thing. I hope you sold copies of the book
beyond your fondest expectations.

I was especially grateful for the Otis Ferguson anecdote, which I've sent to Ferguson's widow.
