The foundations were something tremendous - I forget how many feet deep they were, and I never did remember how much steel went into the structure. Dwight was also concerned ? the Old Auditorium and designed Recital Hall which was suspended in some way from the roof. Afterwards the bldg was declared unsafe and torn down but most people thought it was demolished because some other company wanted the site and was jealous of its popularity - - - Mildred has just called up and is b ringing Cora over. Will finish later.  They stayed until nearly six then took a cab home. Cora is pale but looks well and has a lot of her old vivacity left. In an unguarded moment she exclaimed over the tightness of the belt she had on and said she didn't feel well, but she wouldn't admit to any pain. She says she has to take something for her bowels all the time, and has had to for years. Also she is troubled with gas - both ominous symptoms! She declares she hasn't cancer
