User-Contributed Transcription Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell Street Avon Park, Fla. 8 a.m. Friday Feb. 6. 1953. Darling Tafern: Yours with chks from Mrs. Grote and yours from Harold, also card from Sherry and Charles (identical with the one I rec'd several days ago) came promptly. Have credited Mrs. Grote's chk to Mrs. Marshall's basket. Thanks for everything. Mr. Marshall valiantly picked and I packed and he fastened the bsks Wed. & Thurs. eves after work and we finished up two this morning, so they all go off this morning except three, Mrs. Kapp's, Norine's & Clara's that went yesterday. The ones to collect for are Thomas, Castle, Sandy, Snow, Ichiba, Carlson, & McCall. I gave each of you half g.f. and half navels. The Kings are not full flavored yet, to my notion, so will send them later. I gave Mr. Marshall a bu. Forgot to say Cora Wray came over Thurs. a.m. with one of her renters, and they picked up a lot of fruit. then C - stayed until after dinner - She helped pick enough oranges so I finished 2 bskts then Mr Patton came after her. We were disap't that he came as soon as we expected to have the whole day together. We see each other so seldom for a good visit.
