User-Contributed Transcription doing things down here when it's so hot. I notice that Sears Rbuck advertise a chem-tone, only they call it Kem-tone and Sero-tone $2.39 and $2.98. Think I'll get some, and garage apt. needs it and so does this house. But it doesn't tell how much surface a gallon covers. Will one gallon do the North room? And do you have to use it all at one time? or can it be left a day or two, and finish the job later? later - I see you have answered those last questions in your letter. Mrs. Putney came Saturday in time for noon meal and staying until Tuesday morning. she is the blind friend you recollect. We had a great chatter. She is alone much of the time, as her 78 year old brother tramps to town daily to sell books and magazines by subscription. It's a great day when he makes a dollar. She gets $18.00 per month, blind pension, and gives him $3.00 per week to buy groceries and tobacco, laundry, etc. He is very deaf and very British in his Lord-of-all-Creation attitude (they are both England born) as he irritates her in all manner
