User-Contributed Transcription 2/ A taxi from the train to Nell's hotel and sent my name up to her room. All the luggage I had, beside my handbag was my camera and a paper sack of King oranges for her. She came down at once and took me up to her room, after pointing out to me the person who came down with her and is such a burden. Said burden was writing letters and didn't notice us. As soon as my hat was off and my face washed, we began to chatter, and we kept it up as a lively rate all the time we were together. We went over all the Metamora people we could think of from our cradles up, until the present. I asked how much the rates were at that hotel and she said $3.00. I told her I could never pay that and that I would go out and hunt a cheaper place. But she wouldn't hear to it. She arranged with the management for a
