User-Contributed Transcription and was born and brought up near White Water Falls, and still owns - or Mrs D does - a farm near Walhalla. We are all readers of the Am. Guardian, so you can see why we are good friends. I have been trying to get up a club of yearly subscribers lately and I wrote cousin Carrie to send me a dollar to renew the sub. I donated to them some years ago. Had a letter from her Sat. enclosing the dollar. The American Guardian is one of the few weeklies that is standing out against the war, so I am especially anxious to help keep it going. I am glad you can do something to show which side you are on. I don't think any of us will succeed in doing anything more than that, for no matter who is elected I think they will drag us in after election. There won't be any Imperialist power to defend pretty soon, except Hitler's so the candidates can safely promise not to send our boys to Europe. But I notice the Conscription Bill says Hemispheric, so they will find plenty of places for them to go.
