User-Contributed Transcription 5 Mrs. Campbell has about decided to go to N.Y. in June in response to urgent calls from her last surviving aunt. She wants [crossed out: her] Mrs. C. to come and care for her the rest of her days, which may be a few weeks, or a few years. Mrs. C. doesn't want to go, but she can hardly refuse since this aunt gave her a home when Mrs. C. had no place else to go. I shall hate to have her go as she is lots of help to me. Brings the mail, gets groceries often, and is always ready to do any little thing for me. - - - - We've had a long week end now waiting for the 10 o'clock news. Haven't sent off the box of books yet. Every day or so I find a new address and write to the college. 4:35 p.m. I've just finished reading an article in the March Readers Digest - Flowering Earth, by Donald Culross Peattie.
