User-Contributed Transcription [letterhead] THE NEXT STEP ONE YEAR 10 [?] INSIDE CHICAGO 15 [?]   TELEPHONE STATE HEADQUARTERS The Socialist Party of Illinois 803 W. MADISON STREET ROOM 313 [symbol] GUY UNDERWOOD, ACTING STATE SEC'Y MAY WALDEN, WOMEN'S STATE CORRESPONDENT ON NATIONAL COMMITTEE. ADOLPH GERMER  JOHN C. KENNEDY DUNCAN MCDONALD [crossed out: Chicago] Avon Park, Apl 20th 1915 Darling Tafern, Your letter and Doctor Leh's, the vibrator and hot water bottle, two Tribunes and Colliers besides two or three other pieces of mail were at the p.o. yesterday afternoon and I had the pleasure of bringing them all out at once along with my hand bag and new dress which was finished - oh yes, and a boquet of wistarias that Mrs. Leigh gave me. I looked like a rural free deliverer sure enough. thanks for all the plunder. I send the check for whole amount including postage to Dr Leh and he can straighten it up with Max. The water bottle is a beauty. Never saw so nice a one. Thank Max very much for his trouble and kindness in getting it.  I feel lke a professional now. I sure do, as they say down here. The electrician is at work no putting in the plugs. The outside work was done yesterday you would laugh to see the way they do the work here - Of course the joists and rafters all show in these houses and there is nothing but the clapboards, no laths, building paper or ceiling of any kind, so the work all shows.  I had a telephone put in last week, as I needed it when Mother was sick in bed and I couldn't leave the house, and they put a knob at the lower part of the house, wound the wire around it, carried the wire [written in left and top margins] The "electrician-er" (G.M's name for him) has gone back to "the plant" for more material Guess he will finish up soon now. Thanks for the letter from Pattie. Will write to her soon. (Please have Max send me his formula for cold cream. I want to use some in giving treatments such as Miss Merrifield gave me.
