User-Contributed Transcription family which is not large very pleasan[t]. Everything is made as homelike as possible - cut off by Miss N & her two sisters. Miss N. examined my lungs yesterday and thinks there is no active disease now but that the upper part of the left one is nearly useless. There will of course be a tendency to disease though she says she sees no reason why with care I may not have comfortable health for years. I cannot hope to be as strong as before and the thought of being weak and unable to do is trying but if my heavenly Father sees best thus to discipline me I trust shall be cheerfully submissive to his will and have strength for whatever work there is for me to do. The time has never seemed to come when I could feel free from care. The school was given up last year in June but we were obliged to arrange for housekeeping immediately. Sister rented our part of the house to our niece Mary who married a Mr Gardiner and boarded with them for the use of the furniture. Thus Mother and I were left by ourselves so we decided to take some rooms upstairs & keep house. It was not just the way I would have chosen
