Since the weather became warmer we have taken our meals with Mary though I think when I return we shall be by ourselves if I can get some one to help me. Mother is still pretty well though I can see that she has failed in strength, this far we have been able to care for each other though it is one of my trials that I am not able to do all I would like for her comfort. We are more now to each other than ever since no one seems to need us. My brother's wife died the last of June and Clara is left with the care of housekeeping and the four younger children, the youngest not two years. Sister is at home now, intends going East soon to spend some time. She was absent five months last fall and winter in N. Hampshire, Mass. & N. Y. City. I was at home all last summer and have been most of the times this until I came here shall probably stay two or three weeks longer. I wanted very much to visit you and other friends West but do not think it right to leave mother long at a time. I want to see you and your dear ones so much. I hope you are all
