Description
"A flourishing town, rapidly growing. Extensive repair, engine, and machine shops, well built of brick are located here. The Great Western Rail Road crosses south of Urbana, and will bring into the Illinois Central coal from the Danville coal fields at a reasonable price for consumption on the line of road. The whole country is in the highest degree fertile and well wooded. The shaded tracts indicate the Central Rail Road lands."
