Description Drawing No. 16. Portait of a great medicine man and counselor of the chief. He is holding a very large pipe and is wearing hide leggings with scalp locks and embroidery. He is wearing several beaded necklaces, a headdress and is body is largely covered with tattoos. At his feet is a shield, and a small bundle, probably holding medicinal items or tobacco.
