Transcribed testimony of two Indians, Simon Petogkom and Benjamin Indian, probably in regard to the 1666 prosecution of Groton, Mass., resident and local officeholder Richard Blood for selling liquor to the Indians. In their testimony, which was probably heard in the Middlesex County Court, Petogkom relates that he purchased one pint of rum for one shilling. Both Indians also state that they witnessed another Indian, Jacob, obtain rum from Blood.
