Summary Album of unsigned lithographs, hand-colored, and possibly dating from 1860-1879, illustrating the clothing and activities typical of the various social classes of mid-19th-century Peru. Most of the drawings, hand-colored in deep, brilliant colors, depict peasants in shawls, serapes, and headscarves hawking their wares, including herbs, flowers, bamboo, cold drinks, poultry, scarves and ribbons, cakes, and jewelry. Several sketches appear to be related to bull-fighting, namely, the drawings of a bullfighter, with his red cape over his arm, the "picador" on horseback carrying his barbed flag, and a barefoot man in a red bandana riding a wild bull. Other groups of sketches depict ecclesiastical figures in their priest's robes and monk's habits, and heavily-veiled peasant and upper-class women. There is also a trio of street musicians, and a musical young couple sitting in a hammock with guitar and sheet music.
