Description
"Coffin handbill" known to be originated by John Binns during the 1828 United States presidential election.
Summary
The upper half contains "A brief account of the execution of the six militia men" and a poem "Mournful Tragedy." The lower half has other accounts of Jackson's temper and poor judgment, including massacres of Native Americans, an alleged attack upon Samuel Jackson with a cane sword, and an account signed by Thomas Hart Benton detailing his fight with Jackson at Nashville on Sept. 4, 1818.
