Description Writings and correspondence of Slim Brundage, founder of the College of Complexes, which operated on and off out of several locations on Chicago’s Near North Side during the 1950's-1960's as a forum where speakers and the audience debated controversial topics and read poetry. The collection also includes a variety of documents relating to the College of Complexes itself, such as correspondence, press releases, speaker solicitations, and poetry written by the College’s “students.”

Format Correspondence

User-Contributed Transcription on birth control including male and female sterilization. Now they want a new car but have no money for it. They better not ask me for money.
Had a hard time reading the Military and Industrial State by Sidney Lenz and also the New Industrial State by Gailbraith but they, together, give an accurate picture of what is going on and how and why we are told to believe so many foolish things and I'm glad I read them. Now I'm reading the bible and actually the same things were told the common people even in 4000 B.C. right up to today. Instill fear by misrepresenting and create pride in something that should be hated such as war. Marriage! Authority! all in the name of a vindictive and jealous god. Phooey.
In a couple of days I'll send you a couple more Kaleidoscopes, as soon as the next one comes out.
I expect that I will stay physically less than able or capeable but if I can keep my brain active its still worth while.
Just heard how New York's bridges are up and all the trouble it causes. I think that is a wonderful thing to do.
Thanks for the books. I do always enjoy who-dun-its. Glad you think of me. I love you much and hope your well again. Take care of yourself, make sure you get drunk regularly.
