Description Writings and correspondence of Slim Brundage, founder of the College of Complexes, which operated on and off out of several locations on Chicago’s Near North Side during the 1950's-1960's as a forum where speakers and the audience debated controversial topics and read poetry. The collection also includes a variety of documents relating to the College of Complexes itself, such as correspondence, press releases, speaker solicitations, and poetry written by the College’s “students.”

User-Contributed Transcription 2// longer have to wear the lumbar corset (which I think was making it worse) Of course my back isn't O.K and I have to see the neuro surgeon ($40 a visit) again next week. Probably means costly Xrays too. But I'm not going to have another operation unless I get helpless as I was before.
Don has had some ups and downs with his heart condition & now is back on heavy dosage of nitroglycerin. Sees his M.D. again tomorrow. But I think he should go to V.A. hospital & get a really thorough check-into. Anything wrong with his heart is really serious.
Have you seen Jane at all? I'm sending her the blouse you brought me from Mexico. It was so thoughtful of you to remember the pink – but it doesn't fit me (can't even get it on) and it's too small for Janet, too, so I thought you'd like Jane to have it if she's skinny enough. If not, maybe she can give it to her sisters or someone. Anyway it won't be wasted. Thanks just the same.
