User-Contributed Transcription Do you have an address for Bill Weslake?  I'd like to try writing him to see if he remembers anything.  He's done some extensive reading about the Antarctic and Greenland.  I remember one of the intense lectures he gave for Pat Trevis in a restaurant in Chicago.  He came with books and maps and all the knowledge he had accumulated.  He wasn't only concerned with the Cook-Peary controversy, he was interested in everything in the Northwest Territories and Alaska.
How are you these days?  I wonder if you're still calling Chicago home?  About a month ago, I "resigned" from RCA by invitation because I didn't fit into the establishment (not even such as it is in Anchorage) but what really startled them was my pro-union convictions.  They hired a replacement while I was still on the job hoping I would train her before I "resigned."  But, I left as soon as I landed another job and am now working with a law firm similar to the one I worked for in Chicago.  It's a pleasure to work with mature, friendly people.  RCA was full of paranoids, hopelessly entangled with New York strings and never quite sure who was ruling what roost.
There were attempts to organize but anyone who was seriously interested was fired or sought work somewhere else.  There were even rumors that the union, the Teamsters, made a deal with RCA
