User-Contributed Transcription that I cried from joy, dear Madame.
I hope all of you and the family are very healthy and happy. Dearest Madame, I am still ill, I must be careful of my diet. The doctors ruined me forever. I just gained three pounds in four years. My high blood pressure gets beyond control, making me wonder where I am. I hope, dear Madame, hope I see you once more before I die. On the 22nd of November I completed my 79th year. I no longer can cook. I am worse than Anna now. I forget everything.
I dwell in an unusual part of the city as you will note by my address, among the Mexicans.
Is Johanna still alive or is she with St. Peter by now? I hope I shall be there soon!!??
Please Madame, come visit Los Angeles once more so that I might see you. I shall be happy to see you. You were so good to me that I shall remember you to my dying days.
Hoping that this letter finds you all in good health. Kiss Jennie for me. Please send me her picture
