Description Commemorative postcard for the seventy-five anniversary of the Eastland disaster. Postcard published by the Historical Society of Cicero in 1990. However, the image is of the Eastland between 1903 and 1904. Note the three pairs of lifeboats and the shield logo next to the Eastland. After the 1904 season, the Michigan Steamship Company added a fourth pair of lifeboats and painted over the shield logo and replacing it with "Chicago & South Haven Line" above her name. The Michigan Steamship Company owned the Eastland from 1903 to December 1905 and ran a 77-mile route on Lake Michigan between Chicago, Illinois, and South Haven, Michigan.
