User-Contributed Transcription is an interesting experience. Their (sic) are different types of waitresses indeed but the majority I must say is a nice element. There are many Stenographers & teachers who do this work to pass their vacations on less expenses. We have 4 teachers and 1 Stenographer among 30 waitresses here and the other girls, who are mostly of younger years there are Irish, Hungarian, German but all of neat and clean habits. I went to dances & shows with them in the company of the Hotel cooks & waiters. Now really when you hear of the remarks passed over Hotel help you would think they are an undecent (sic) element but I am glad to know better and
