Dear Albina, I arrived here safely this morning at one O clock A.M. should have been here yesterday morning at 6 but for the people of the Citty of Erie (on the road between Buffalo and Cleevland) who owing to a difficulty between the Erie folks & the R.R. Co the Erie folks tore up the tracks and destroyed the Bridges between the State line of New York and the Citty of Erie so as to render it impassable for the distance of 7 1/2 miles & the stopping & delay occasioned thereby put me 2 hours behind, & I have concluded now to wait till after noon and take the cars for Elyria and stop till Monday
I should have got along pretty quick but for this delay  I left Bangor in the stage about 6 O clock Tuesday morning and left Waterville in the cars 6 1/2 O clock Wednesday morning arrived in Boston 2 1/2 same day  left Boston 4 1/2 and arrived in Albany at 2 1/2 same night after paying a half dollar for 3 hours sleep and a half dollar for my breakfast I started at 7 1/2 for Buffalo and arrived there at 7 1/2 & should have gone right on and arrived at Cleeveland next morning Friday at 6 but for the Erie difficulty I am now waiting here for the P.M. Sandusky Trains to Elyria I have concluded to going there and see
