User-Contributed Transcription 2 1/2 oclock P.M. Have but just been to dinner had venison & chicken. Deer are quite plenty about here people frequently bring them in here to sell we have venison almost every day & frequently turkey or chickens live very well. It has been almost snowing ever since morning. I dont know but there will be enough to cover the ground yet. We have got a stove set up in the Passenger house & Isaac has moved his writing task over there but I am writing in the Office I had rather write alone a little while at a time. I have not much more to write you & probably the next communication I make with you will be by the word of mouth. The Medford has just got back with the No 22 they will leave her on the side track ready to be taken to the repair shop they calculate it will cost about 5,000 dollars to fix her up again but probably come to get her it won't be so much My calculation now is to spent the next sabbath i.e. the first sabbath in Dec in Ohio after which I shall be wending my way home shall probably get to Bangor at least sometime in the course of the next week is by the 8th or 9th of Dec
It is getting rather cold fingers, so I guess I'll not write any more now I have said much more to [[?]] nor more to say so good by till I see you & the children too
Your Affectionate Husband
