Dear Rose,
A few lines to let you know I've met Madeleine Boyd and find her quite interesting. So far she hasn't been able to contact Mr. McCormack at Doubleday so my patience is wearing thin. I'm still a person of action and it's harder for me to wait than most. I have talked to Ted by phone and will fly to Washington D.C. to see him prior to returning home. He seemed in excellent spirits and seemed to be ready to again go back to free-lancing.
I'm enjoying seeing Tom my brother (a grandad) and his entire clan plus my mother too. I am not living at the hotel here I'm trying to make a few bucks by introducing a new cosmetic to N.J. So far my luck or salesmanship is lousy I've been here 2 weeks and cannot find a person so far with $10,750 who wishes to open the state.
