Dear Gladys and Jack,
Hope this finds all of you well. We're still kicking, and The Disinherited will be on my required text list for an upper division course called "American Literature and Social class" (guess who gets the plug?!). While our enrollments are way down, at least you and I will have the satisfaction of knowing that Larry Donovan will make Lewis Babitt and Edie Newbold Jones Wharton's Newland Archer look like the jerks they really are! I'm going to use Agnes Smedley's Daughter of Earth, Malamud's The Assistant, and Dreiser's An American Tragedy, too, and maybe a few more representatives of the other side of the tracks - for subtlety of propanda [?] approach! Stay well and let's hear how you are.
