Forms part of the Edward E. Ayer Manuscript Collection (Newberry Library) 
Summary Unsigned census, possibly compiled in Acadia, and dated November 1708, of Indians and French residing on the eastern coast of Acadia, as well as those living in Pintagouet and Canibeky. The census is presented for each locale in tables of two columns.  Entries, arranged by family, and include name and age of the head of household, below which are the names and ages of wife and any children.  At the end of each section, there is a short "Recapitulation", summarizing the population numbers by sex and age, and number of households. Indian populations are given for Port Royal, Cap Sable, La Heue, Les Mines, Mouscoudabouet, Cap Breton, Chiguenitou, Pintagouet, Canibequi, and Riviere St. Jean.  Similar tables and summaries are given for French residents in Cap Sable, La Heue, and Port Rasoirs.
