So many stories plays etc. have been written which explain the effect of one's background on mental breakdowns. None has been done on medical conditions and believe me, from the facts I have on hand, the stories that can be written would be equal to Snakepit and others such stories.
Have you ever considered doing a play? If your interested - suppose you spend some time reviewing the play form and I'll send you a bibliography on the psychosomatic approach to illness. If your interested - when I get to Chicago I can give you some real life histories and we might collaborate on a play. Let me know how you feel about this idea?
I know for example, the way people prone to certain illnesses behave and why - that's called the dynamics - that in addition to the real histories, which would give the plot; together with your ability to know how people from certain walks of life would talk in addition to your marvelous skill at writing should help make these stories alive. I can say with enough assurance that I'm considered fairly well oriented psycho analytically as well as having a fairly good fund of knowledge about the psychosomatic approach to the study of treatment of illnesses.
If this scheme is a success it would be the 1st of its kind. Please consider it and let me know.
