really a few good scholars here who drone

their leisure and in general forget their
ambitions and of course we really are at a
pretty great distance from the marts of men. Life
is pretty provincial in Starkville, Mississippi.
I shall never probably do anything very remarkable
but these other interests are really pretty precious.
I [?] you thus so that you may understand
the situation. As I say you need not mention
the matter to Dr. S. However if you think
it would be feasible I think I'll ask him
to do this for me.
I think I have your address correct.
For a long time I was unable to find
your latest letter after you moved.
