Dear Jack:
I am pleased to have your letter
as well as the assignment and information
from Dr. Scoll which I am acknowledging
also at this time. I shall probably not be
able to be as prompt on this material as
on the first shot. However you may count on receiving
it, I think barring misadventure, say
in a few weeks- well inside your mentioned
limit. I shall be able to do little before
the end of next week which is a semester end.
Thereafter there[?] will be a few days off
during which time I can evaluate the list
unless I am required to make a trip which
is uncertain at this writing.
A few questions about this list- there are
two hundred forty-four names on it. Some
of these names are contemporary or near
contemporary writers who look pretty important
now some of whom may not be so important
in the farther future. However it is a very
good list; it must have been difficult to
