The power of attorney, executed before Adhemar St. Martin, notary at the fort, allows Rocheblave and Porlier to oversee, maintain, and engage in transactions concerning 3,000 arpents of land in Haut-Canada (Ontario) granted to Langlade by the government there, the three patents having been signed by Roussel [president of the Parlement de Paris?] on August 3, 1799.
