Dear Jack:
Your protege is in print, tho quite modestly, sandwiched between McGrath & Lewis. Could you request a review copy of Deeber for your friend who has the column? I have enclosed a number of post card announcements for you to address to those most likely to manifest interest. The format & binding were surprisingly neat & it's quite a handsome little book. When you drop into the Chicago Public Library, please ask them to order it. I got the Beverly Hills Library to stock Fearing, Schwartz, & Patchen, when I worked out there, also Henry Miller. Too damn upset & muddled & stupidly busy to get very much creative energy or good clean expensive paper. Will be father for a second time late next month, & while I got a nice substantial raise, I am relatively no better off than a year ago. J.C. Crews of Waco, Texas has a brochure of unusual poems just off the press of Iconograph in New Orleans. I am mailing you a copy to dispose of as you like. Guess theres plenty of activity in Chicago these days - boom to all.
