User-Contributed Transcription 2. very kind and thoughtful. Like you I have none of my own people near me. Will seems to be plodzing (sic) away but not so happily situated as I wish he could be. My son and his two Lads are registered for this awful war. Just what they will be called for I don't know. William the one that is 20 yrs. old came to see me last week. He is a fine lad and loves his Grandma Morse. Think of so many nice things to say and do for me. Wishes He could live with me, but that can't be now. We must just stay put until the war is over. Then what? May God take a hand soon and win this strugle. (sic)
