User-Contributed Transcription completing it. Herman has just bought a swell new 7 passenger limousine, so must be he is fairly prosperous. They have an ice cream cone stand on the Road as a side line. Guess Herman's nephew looks after it. Helen is real well and quite enthusiastic about their new home. They have some old hens and baby chickens. No other live stock - oh, yes a pig. Had more callers last Thursday - Norine, Laura, Alice (Norine's sister) Mrs. Scott and Grace Scott all drove out in their Ford and dropped in in the afternoon. Norine brought a very pretty pair of booties (the short kind) for the baby and Laura brought a lovely little romper suit (the kind that buttons across the bottom) made of white pique, and beautifully embroidered in cross stitch and buttonholed at the neck and sleeves. Wish grandma could see the buttonholing. Am sure she would say it is fine work. Received the Bradley catalog. Glad to have it. Will order some sewing cards for Malcolm and other things later.
