User-Contributed Transcription people are "regular folks". He said he was going to play ball Sunday at Lincoln Park on a team which one of his paper salesmen belongs to. How I wish I could be there to watch him! I told him I wanted him to play again just as soon as I came back.
Nellie Z. has sold her piano so I got rather lonesome for ours to play on. I went over to one of the neighbour's the other evening and played theirs for a few minutes but half the family had retired when I got there so I felt pretty squeamish about staying any length of time. The people out here just toil and labor all the time, stopping only to eat and sleep. Sunday is like all the other days. I don't see what the use of living is, if one has to spend all one's time that way.
