Precious Mummie:
Ralph met us after a wait of an hour and a half. We had gone up to the main street to get a bite to eat and we saw him driving past the lunchroom window. Got into the wagon when our breakfast was eaten and drove over to a drygoods store where I purchased some elastic and clasps. I gloat over my bathing suit frequently. It is a lovely present and you were so good to hurry on it and let me take it with me. The weather is lovely. We had a pleasant drive out to Nellie Zay's place. It is a beautiful country around here. Not as I anticipated at all. True, there are no trees near the house but there are many of them in reach of the eye. The house is rather roughly finished but is very pleasant and the rooms are always nice and cool. I guess it was a false alarm about my having to work a lot as
