User-Contributed Transcription she was distributing was the 27th ward Optimist. I went out and spoke to her, introducing myself and asked her if the women of this ward ever held meetings. She told me of this one so I went. The house was on Kilborn ave. on the other side of the tracks. Most of the women present were German or at least, I think all but three or four spoke with an accent. The I Will Club is to have a progressive Auto Luncheon, for 35Â¢ you get a 3 course luncheon served at 3 different homes with auto rides between the various residences. Mrs. Beers, Mrs. Sumner and Mrs. Greer are the hostesses. This occurs next Thursday. I think I will go. Wish you could come along. Mrs. Slagle and other members will furnish the autos. Nellie Zay sent me her dues book and P.O.order to pay her dues so I must go to the county office before doing my shopping. I suppose Max will collect the Oct. rent today. Shall I send it to you?
