User-Contributed Transcription I expect to pick out my dress goods tomorrow or next day. Miss Ross said she would go with me and help me to select it. Mr. Cole paid the September rent some time ago. I think it was about the 20th but am not sure. I can find out the exact date from Max if you would like it. Have just called up Mrs. Coal, but no one answered. Perhaps she was out for a walk. I will call again later on and see how she is. My nasturtiums are still blooming nicely and the pansies are doing well. Max and I are planning to go out to Glen Ellyn Sunday and spend the day if the weather is pleasant. Mummie, how do you fix barley for breakfast food?
