So you had better let Mr. Cole rent for another year if he has made all his payments that are due. Max says that you had not best not consider selling the place unless you can get $4000 cash or a very large percent cash. That you would be better off to keep it and get the rent, than to get small sums at long intervals for its sale.
Mum, what is a J bandage? is it to reduce the abdomen after the baby's birth? Perhaps you had better send me pattern from Mrs. Wray's, as I have come across none in the stores and don't know whether they keep them or not. I have a quantity of good muslin on hand that I can make them of.
I bought a nice clothes basket for the baby at the Boston Store, Saturday for $1.55. I don't know whether that is expensive for a clothesbasket or not but it is a very nice one, made with a flat bottom instead of raised as so many of them are. I think I will use a pillow for the bottom of it. Max has plenty of white cheese cloth to line it with so I shan't have to buy any. I got some of the light blue to tack it with. Is it best to get cotton batten? and lay between two folds of the cheese cloth and tack it
