Dearest Mummie,
I didn't mean to bring my other letter to so sudden a conclusion but the post man appeared on the horizon and as he usually waits for no man, I ran down and flaged him and finished my letter by scribbling on a little tin box which he carries in his buggy.
I wish you could be here to have some of the lovely cream, butter, milk and eggs. They are the best ever. It seems very luxurious to sit down to a table with a big pitcher of real cream.
The chickens are very interesting. There are three sets little, medium and big and they all require different food and treatment. There is a little calf besides the cow and horse so it is no small task to care for the livestock. Nellie and I drove to town yesterday to buy feed, lumber for the chicken house, etc. Had a very pleasant trip.
