Dear Mum,—
Just got to the Schoenfelds' five minutes ago. I have been in Elgin since Friday. My monthlies, of course, had to begin on Staruday, but I am getting along all right and the worst is over. I borrowed Helen's clothes, I will get my things, all my dresses but the white one, and my dirty underclothes washed. The Bowen's didn't wnat to have me go, even the old lady, so if you are still writing the pamphlet I might go back to Elgin for the rest of the week or stay here.
