Tues. Oct. 25 Letter to King Foster and Mrs Miller. Cloudy & chilly with a little rain. Recitation rooms cold in daytime. All went to Va. Hall Chapel this evening to learn of & pray for the work of the A.M.A. so we lost 1st period in Night School. Myrtie kept the Middlers only half an hour, so I had History and Bible class. Mr Frisel, with Miss Austin and a gentleman, came into the history class for a few minutes. Explained somewhat to A. Jr. boys why the moon seemed to travel from west to east across the sun's disk in the eclipse. Dora & I read the Third Century after night school. Took no extra exercise. felt not well.
Wednesday Oct. 25 Junior Bible classes began. I have the B. Primes - enjoyed them much. 10 lessons today, but got through with them all reasonably well. very tired in evening. Sent for 10 more Weeks Current & 3 Golden Rules. Went to Hampton by boat with Miss Moore & Miss Adams between 4 & 5, to get Postal Notes for Review of Reviews and Hotel Endeavor. General Teachers' Meeting at 5. Dieting today, only bread & milk for supper. Letters from Home & from Nette - Handkerchief mysterious from Boston - White's Arith from home for reading after night school.
Thurs. 27 Classes as usual, not feeling at all well, but labored through. Sent letter home. Did not go to prayermeeting - Middlers voted on "bill" for discussion & chose sides thereon.
