User-Contributed Transcription Monday Jan 12. Rain and wind all day. I did not take my tooth out in it.
Mended 6 pairs of stockings +c. Attempted to sleep some- had a
meeting with the Comm. of the section, on prayer meeting subjects- Went
to Dr. Wilkinson's lecture on Geo. Eliot, in the evening. Letter from
Harl. Pater had a fainting fit on Saturday- Wrote short letter home.
Read Archibald Malmaison by Julia[?n] Hawthorne. Studied Bible lesson.

Tuesday Jan. 13 Studied and taught Chemistry and Bible - Neither of my classes knew anything. (I did not know much). Went down- to village- to take my velvet waist to Mrs. Irvine- Letter from John. Read Tribune. Made Bible topics.

Wed. Jan. 14 Cool, clear- beautiful weather. Classes as usual. No mail. Read some vainly on Electricity. Went to teachers' prayer meeting - Tired. Early to bed.
