User-Contributed Transcription Met Mrs. Dibble at the Ampitheatre, where I listened to the Concert for a few minutes. Went to Teachers' Meeting, Dr. Williamson, of Chicago - wrote & sent letter to Caius Cassius. Early to bed.

Sunday Aug. 16 Very cool early in A.M. - then warmer. clear all day - Went to S.S. in Temple Dr. Hurlbut - then to church - Dr. Deems preached on Eph. 2:15 - "to make of [[?twins]] one new man." Saw Mrs. Dr. Jones Barker and Miss Emerson. Miss Glidden came around to see me, with Prof. Loomis, of the C.S.L.

Mondy Aug. 17 A lovelyday. temperature very satisfactory - With Miss Emerson nearly all day. she left at 6:25. Went to the Look Up Legion Reception to Dr. E.E. Hale, & met Prof. W.C. Wilkinson. Dr. Hale and Dr. Hurlbut - had a good time - then went rowing with Miss Young, and had another good time. Letter from Pater.

Tues. 18 Beautiful weather - went to Normal Examination, then to Dr. Worden's class - met Mrs. Perry, of Elyria & went to the University
