and examined Note Books. F's went to Dana Hall in the evening - called on Misses Bates, Smith, Bartlett and Cas - had an uproarious and hilarious time -
Wednesday
Beautiful warm day - 9:50 & 11:45 classes were examined - Looked over papers and note books. Went to walk with Lottie, over to Mr Baker's and back again through Mr. Cheney's grounds part of the way. F's met after dinner. Prayermeeting in the evening, after which I talked about Bible lesson with Hattie Tuttle, and made some good resolutions - also corrected more papers. Ohio said to be Republican by 10000 majority. Second Amendment probably not carried.
Thursday.
Warm weather. 78 degrees. Classes, study and Note Books filled the morning - went to ride with Miss Shafer, Miss Hayes and Mddle. See in P.M. for 1 1/2 hrs. Prayermeeting led by Miss Whiting - subject - "Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord." Ohio said to have gone Democratic by 12000 or 15000 - Second Amendment doubtful still.
Friday
Cloudy and drizzly weather. Studied Bible lesson. Taught Chemistry - finished correcting papers. Letter from home tonight - arranged system for waiting today in Chem. Lecture Room was very pleasant and encouraging. Business meeting of F's Meeting of those interested in South Natick Club. Miss Whiting came in for a few minutes just before the last bell this evening.
Saturday Oct. 13
Rainy in A.M. clear in P.M. Distinguished company here. A Spanish gentleman, Dr. Wulford, Bishop of Huntington, Mr. Porter, Prof. Horsford +c. walked to village. Brush up & dusted - called with Miss Kendall on our table girls - Made Bible
