studied Bible lesson. Went to Mrs. Joseph Cook's lecture in the evening - wrote very short letter to Annie. A gray day. very bad walking.
Tuesday Feb. 12
Still disagreeable weather - went up to chapel. studied Bible lesson. taught classes in P.M. Read newspaper. Elizabeth Eliza and I had some talk with Miss Freeman. went to see Miss Welsh for a few minutes. Letter from Pater and Nettie.
Wednesday Feb. 13
Gray, misty, moisty, rainy weather. Classes as usual on Wednesday. Cassius Caius' birthday. We had a family party in his room after teachers' prayermeeting. Solomon John and I went to the village in the P.M. for the provisions. The formation of a Y.W.C.A. was discussed in prayermeeting. especially the evangelical test for membership.
Thursday Feb. 14
Valentine Day - received one from Ethel and one from Nettie this evening. The weather is growing colder this evening. Classes as usual. studied the Bible with Lillian Duffies after lunch. The Peterkins took our dinner in Cassius Caius' room. Made chocolate, and ate what remained of the birthday supplies. Prayermeeting was led by Marion Marsh - subject ] "When He, the Spirit of truth, shall come, He shall guide you into all truth." 45 below zero in Nevada last night. Floods not yet abating in the Ohio Valley.
Friday Feb. 15
Beautiful bright weather, filling us all with life and vigor. Practiced Iodine experiments and studied Bible lessons in A.M. taught classes in P.M. We had our Bible meeting after dinner. Ada Jones and I went to the village to prayermeetings. Read newspaper and took a bath afterwards. The water is beginning to go down at Cinncinnatti - Annie's letter came tonight. Dr. Clark was here
